We're going to try developing some of our papers and proposals online.
I'm guessing that it might be easier to comment on and develop
a proposal collaboratively,
rather than the usual model, where one person edits and emails
a flurry to everyone else over and over.
SpieOptics2007 is a paper in which we intend to describe DCS experiences in SOFIA and plans for the future. It will be presented as a part of Infrared Spaceborne Remote Sensing and Instrumentation XV at the SPIE Optics and Photonics 2007 in San Diego this year.
VirtualEarthCadModeling is a completed proposal to work with Microsoft's Virtual Earth system to automatically produce CAD-model quality three-dimensional feature extraction from oblique and ground-level imagery.
WideFieldChangeDetection? is a proposal to build an IR imaging platform to make continuous very-wide-field observations of the sky, essentially completing a sky map every few days. The results of constantly analyzing these observations over time would be used to task Target of Opportunity proposals at the greater observatories like Chandra, Spitzer, SOFIA, Webb, and such.
DesktopCluster? is a proposal to build a small low-power computing cluster that could sit on a user's desktop.
SensorMapProposal is a completed proposal for integrating FGDC metadata standards into WASP and Microsoft's SensorMap project. It was not developed on this wiki, but I'm putting it online for reference.
SofiaWork is, technically, not a proposal. But putting the statement of work online is a good idea anyway, so I can stop emailing it to everyone over and over...
