* Notes from Jeff 7/19/07: Brandt/Plasma is up and running for the Description Experiment.

There is a new folder in the Interns ' account: C:\Documents and Settings\Interns\My Documents\MATLAB (and a shortcut from the desktop). It has two subfolders: Code (for Matlab *.m files) and Data, containing folders for Images and Text Files. The Final Stimuli Folder is in the Images folder, all the *.txt descriptor files are in the other folder.

The current (7/12/07) file is flickerpairs_12, which will automatically take you to the correct folder to get the text files.

Changes to note on images:

1. Please use gotham1_no_text.jpg in place of gotham1.jpg. I removed the text in the lower-right corner.

2. I resized all images to be smaller than 1024x768

3. I darkened the title slide (divider.jpg) and the calib_check.jpg images.

See ImageLibraries for "Final Stimuli for Description Expt on Brandt" The short description text files should have the following format:

'blank.jpg' is a 1024x768 image with the value [192 192 192] to match the background. The first image will appear for 1 second, then the blank will appear for 19 seconds. After 20 seconds the 'X' will return, signaling the end of the trial

Repeat the calib_check_darker2.jpg target every six images. It is darker to come closer to matching the 192 mean background, and the '2' has the right and left edges feathered.

The long description text files should have the following format:
